COVID-19
UPDATES

In response to the Premier's plan for the second wave of the pandemic, the Bishop will be releasing an announcement to be read at every weekend Mass.  As you know, this is a serious matter and every effort is being made to reassure the faithful.

Places of worship remain at 30% capacity with 6-feet of physical distancing, hand sanitizing, and regular cleaning. The Government has now made FACE MASKS MANDATORY.

Keep up-to-date on how the Diocese of Peterborough is managing under the current pandemic on the Peterborough Diocese website.

Also, before returning to Mass at Immaculate, please read this protocol, particularly as it pertains to receiving Holy Communion.

NEW November 10th:

  •  Permission is now given for the use of a single cantor at Mass.  Group singing is still strongly discouraged.

  • Bulletins, missals and Offertory envelopes, can now be distributed, provided that it is  done in a manner that avoids touching and the gathering of people around a table

  • The faithful are reminded that the Dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass remains in effect and applies to Christmas and the Solemnity of Mary Mother of God. — +Bishop Miehm, November 10, 2020

PRIEST
BENEFIT
FUND

The weekend of Nov. 21 & 22 in support of our retired priests, will be a Special Collection.

The purpose of the Priest Benefit Fund is to ensure that the retired and sick priests of the Diocese receive financial benefits each month to supplement the federal pension and to provide a basic health insurance plan.

The Diocese supports priests in retirement or those on sick leave every month through your generosity.  Below is a video where Bishop Miehm interviews Fr. Peter Seabrooke speaking about the life of a retired priest.
